WebDAV Sync Component
1. Entry
Settings -> Components -> WebDAV Sync
Tap the card to open full WebDAV settings.
2. What this component does
The WebDAV component is more than a toggle. It is MemoFlow’s main entry for sync, backup, and restore workflows.
It is useful for:
- Keeping data and settings consistent across devices
- Creating regular backups of the local library
- Restoring from WebDAV backups
- Viewing WebDAV debug logs when something goes wrong
3. What you can do on this page
Inside the detailed page, the main areas are:
- Enable WebDAV Sync: master switch
- Server connection: configure server URL, username, password, auth mode, root path, and TLS-related options
- Backup strategy settings: configure backup mode, encryption, schedule, retention, and scope
- Vault security status: review current security state and recovery information
- WebDAV logs: inspect debug logs
- Manual actions: sync now, start backup, and restore backup
4. Recommended first-time setup
Use this order:
- Open Server connection.
- Fill in
Server URL, authentication info, andRoot Path. - Only adjust TLS-related options if your certificate environment requires it.
- Return to the main page and confirm the connection summary looks correct.
- Then open Backup strategy settings and finish backup-related choices.
5. What backup strategy includes
The backup strategy page typically includes:
- Backup mode / encryption mode: plain or encrypted backup
- Backup password / Vault password: required when encryption is enabled
- Backup schedule: manual, daily, weekly, monthly, or on app open
- Retention: how many historical backups to keep
- Config backup scope: safer config-only scope or fuller config scope
- Backup memos: whether memo content is included in backup
If you want broader config coverage, encrypted backup is the safer default.
6. How to use it day to day
Scenario A: routine sync / backup
- Keep the component enabled after setup
- Use the sync action in the top-right or the in-page backup button when you want to run it immediately
Scenario B: restore data
- Open the WebDAV page and tap Restore
- Choose the backup version, restore target, and the config items you want to restore
- If the backup contains config, you can selectively restore items such as WebDAV, image bed, image compression, AI, and app lock settings
7. Important notes
- Keep the app in the foreground during backup or restore, because the task may pause in background
- If encryption is enabled, store your password or recovery code safely
- It is best to give MemoFlow a dedicated
Root Pathinstead of mixing it with other tools
8. Good use cases
- You use MemoFlow on multiple devices
- You want safer migration, reinstall, or device replacement workflows
- You want long-term snapshots of the local library
